MethodFirstly, peel the potato and set it aside.Then cut it into small cubes.washed them well, drained them, and set them aside.In a pan, heat the oil and add the mustard seed, allowing it to sputter.Then add urad dal, cumin seed, and fenugreek seed and sauté them well.Add curry leaves, green chillies, and chopped onion.Sauté them well for a few minutes.Sprinkle some salt on them and sauté them well.Then add curry powders like red chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, and garam masala.Saute till the raw smell disappears.Then add asafoetida powder and saute them well.Add the chopped potato cubes and combine them well.Cover and cook the potatoes well.Remove the lid and sauté or fry them thoroughly.Remove from fire and set aside.
